Activities for the weekend include:  Swimming at the local YMCA and Outdoor Winter Olympic Games
Date:  January 19-20, 2018
Check in/out: Check-in: 6:00 pm Friday. Retreat ends: 4:00 pm Saturday

Michael Cochren, Washington, IN – Worship Leader
Michael and his band, Cochren & Co., have a history of opening for artists such as Newsboys, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Sidewalk Prophets and others. His music tells stories of hope, grace and second chances.  He loves Jesus and nothing else better than worshipping Him.  Michael will lead our elementary campers in high-energy worship and introduce them to his world of singing praise to our God.

Dan Eaton, Owensboro, KY – Speaker
Dan is a natural kid – uh, make that a natural with kids!  His years in Children’s Ministry have prepared him to effectively share our theme: Winter Games.

Do you find it hard to stay strong in any situation?  Are you wondering why things in your life seem unfair and out of control? You can trust God to lead you to victory over these things and more, no matter how hard the challenge.  With the Winter Olympics just around the corner, Dan will make a connection from the importance of the athlete’s physical training to the camper‘s need for spiritual training and trust in God.

History of Winterfest

While Camp Illiana has offered our older elementary summer campers an opportunity for growth and reunion in the winter for many years, Winterfest began in 2010. With the goal of bringing together elementary youth from all of our churches, we offer relevant bible teaching, worship and an awesome time growing closer to friends and Jesus.
